Idealism, Perfectionism and Bright Minds

Idealism, Perfectionism & Bright Minds: Something Is Missing

This Groundbreaking Webinar, was held on Friday, June 7

People who are bright usually are more intense, sensitive, and idealistic, and they can see the inconsistencies and absurdities in the values and behaviors of others. They become keenly aware of their smallness in the larger picture of existence, and they feel helpless to fix the many problems that trouble them. As a result, they may become depressed.

Becoming aware of yourself and thoughtfully looking at your existence can be quite a challenge, especially for bright minds. The quest for meaning and purpose in existence and a systematic philosophy about life and death starts at the surprisingly early age of six or seven. It is particularly difficult for them to sustain hope in a world that is so often both complex and disappointing. The quest to long for.

The bright minds strive for idealism, perfectionism, and to make things fair for all around them. The constant search for meaning and purpose of existence can haunt them. The intensity, sensitivity, and idealistic tendencies allow them to see the inconsistencies and absurdities in the values and behaviors of others. This awareness can lead to low-grade depression, also called existential depression. We all at times question our existence, but bright minds are more susceptible to experiencing this phenomenon due to their expansive awareness.

The objectives of this webinar include:

  • Presenting information on existential depression and anxieties (death, freedom, isolation, and meaninglessness) as they apply to living a fulfilling life.
  • Ways to cope with existential concerns and how to integrate them into your daily life.
  • You will gain an overview of the background, tips on recognizing triggers of existential depression, learn mindfulness-based techniques to cope with it, and get a chance to share your ordeal with others in the room if you choose to, which can be a very important aspect of coping.

Discover the benefits awaiting you:

  • Gain profound insights into your own identity and the occasional bouts of melancholy you experience.
  • Uncover the depths of existential depression and its significance in your life.
  • Grasp the origins of your idealism and perfectionism, equipped with strategies to manage them effectively.
