Gurpreet Kaur, Ph.D.

I am a licensed professional counselor, certified clinical mental health counselor, executive coach, author, and public speaker. But what does all that really mean? It was my five-year-old daughter who helped me pin it down.

One night right before good night kisses and hugs, she asked me, “Mom what do you do for work?” Surprised to be suddenly crafting a simple definition of psychotherapy, I replied, “I listen to people talk about what makes them sad, and afraid, and excited, and happy. Then I help them figure out how they can be even happier.” She repeated it back to me in a perfect summary: “So, you help people be happy.”

Finding ways to spark that happiness is an ongoing journey. I am a self-help enthusiast and explorer of the connections among counseling, Eastern philosophies, and quantum mechanics. I earned my doctorate degree in education and counseling psychology, and I have worked to support mental health for 17 years.

These diverse experiences have shaped my approach to wellness, healing, and mentorship, and they continue to drive me to bring innovation and inspiration to this vital work. They have also given me fascinating opportunities to speak at corporate trainings, workshops, university lectures, keynote presentations, and more. I have provided custom training programs dealing with workplace civility, change management, depression, disengaged workers, burnout, self-care, and mental health to organizations including the Department of Health & Human Services USA. I have also written articles for publications including American Counseling Association (ACA), Entrepreneur, and Brainz magazines.

I delight in motivating disengaged employees to re-evaluate their choices so they can re-engage to improve their careers and their lives. Whether I’m speaking to someone one-on-one or standing in front of a packed conference arena at a national event, my goal is the same: to support, uplift, and motivate people to find self-love and spirituality, reach their highest level of consciousness, assume accountability for their own lives, and achieve their full potential.

Because, at the heart of it all, my daughter was right: I love helping people be happy – and happier.

When you’re ready to bring more happiness to your world, let’s talk about corporate training sessions and workshops, keynote and supporting speeches, bespoke digital courses, one-on-one consulting, mentoring, and other ways I can help.
